Illustrated by Jessie Mothersole with a full colour frontispiece, 23 colour plates and a map. Collated complete.This work was written and illustrated by English archaeologist, artist and author Jessie Mothersole. This work on the Isles of Scilly provides a description of the islands, well known locations, the people and the plant life. The work has been beautifully illustrated with paintings by the author. Undated. Dated by a copy held at the British Library. In the publisher's original cloth. No dust wrapper present. Externally generally smart with damp staining to the extremities of the boards and spine with slight fading to the spine. Internally front hinge tender after the frontispiece with the odd page starting and pages xi to the map disbound but present. Bright pages with scattered spotting. Good
