1881. HARPER'S WEEKLY. LONG BRANCH:ELBERON- GARFIELD ASSASSINATION. An original engraving from the September 24, 1881 issue of Harper's Weekly magazine. An image of President Garfield on his deathbed, looking out at the Atlantic Ocean from his cottage in the Elberon section of Long Branch. He died soon after and this may be the last image of Garfield alive. The story on the verso is about his death. An important print about the Jersey Shore. $85.00.
