Collection of humourous verse and prose, edited by Mark Twain and including many of his own contributions. Illustrated with 197 line drawings. The frontispiece has a protective tissue page. Embossed panel to front board contains gilt title. Gilt design and lettering to spine is darkened. Corners bumped, right hinge cracked, page edges marked and browned. Previous owner's name and date (1916) to front endpaper, otherwise good copy..
