Publisher's original green cloth over boards, gilt lettering to spine and upper cover. Book Condition: wear to the extremities, gilt lettering somewhat dulled; binding solid and text block unmarked (PO inscription to ffep). All evidence points to this being the first edition of this title, it has the seal but not the "A". Date on title page is 1944, matching the copyright date, and the PO's inscription is dated December 1943!
