SIGNED twice by Haberman. Inscription to Jargon Society founder Jonathan Williams on first blank leaf reads, "March 1977 / Jonathan - it will be "out" next month - I give you more than thanx... -- the 1st week of August. Warmly, David." On the back of that page Haberman has also written out a poem reflecting on the death of his mentor and close friend Edward Dahlberg, who passed away the same year this book came out, and to whom the book is dedicated. It reads, "Edward died! - will no one grieve? / chided friends - will you believe? / He'd stroke the heart - don't turn away! / chided friends - will you allow? / Little lamb - who made you growl? / - I guess I loved him. D." A very good copy in a very good + jacket. Publisher's printed glassine is lightly rubbed. Boards have minor wear to extremities, last blank leaf faintly foxed with a touch of insect damage.
