Oxford: Oxford at The Clarendon Press, 1971. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. pp: [xiv] 1 - 300. Yellow printed and pictorial dust jacket, blue cloth covered boards with spine lettering stamped in gilt. The author studies the problem of minority groups in a modern industrial state, using as an example the Jews of France in the last decade of the nineteenth century. He includes a chapter on Bernard Lazare, the foremost exponent of Jewish Nationalism in France at the time. And Marrus delves into the origins of Zionism in France. This is a very good, to near fine, copy in a very good dust jacket with some sunning on the spine, light rubbing, and edge wear.
