About This Item

Toronto: Harper Collins, 1990 . First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good Indeed. 8.5" by 5.5". None. A signed, first edition of Brian Fawcett's detective story investigating the disappearance of humanity. First edition, in the publisher's original cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Written by Canadian author and cultural analyst, Brian Fawcett. Signed by Fawcett to the half title, 'For George: Teacher.'. 'Public Eye' presents parallel stories exploring the disappearance of all that is human and individual In the world. Fawcett takes a closer look at the media, the New Age movement, post modernism to see their contribution to this effect. From the library of Hungarian-Canadian author Stephen Vizinczey, best known for his 'In Praise of Older Women', and 'An Innocent Millionaire'. His writing was praised by the likes of Graham Greene and Anthony Burgess, describing his fiction as social epics which breathe hope in a corrupt world. In the publisher's original cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart, with light bumping to the tail of the front board. One or two marks to the front board. A touch of fading to the extremities. Dust wrapper is excellent, with light edge wear and one tear to the front wrap, with tape repair to the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean, with author's signature and inscription to half title. Very Good Indeed
