No bumping or fraying, very small area of slight fading at top spine edge. Binding is tight, hinges are sound, pages and edges are clean. Map-illustrated endpapers - no names, writing or marks. Illustrated with drawings. 271 pages with index. Dust jacket is quite clean (very small faint water stain at top rear panel corner, no chips, a few short closed edge tears; price clip to front in side flap; very nice photo and brief bio of author on rear panel. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover..
