All edges and end pages marbled. 416 pages 19 cm. Scattered minor staining. Signed, presentation bookplate from Francis Jackson Garrison, the author's son. Francis Garrison (1848-1916) was an abolitionist in his own right, published the anti-slavery newspaper, the Liberator, and was his father's companion, associate, and biographer. Refs: Sabin 26707.
