About This Item

Australia: Heinemann, 1987. First Australian edition, first printing. Published by Heinemann Australia in 1987. This is a very near fine copy. The dust wrapper has not been price clipped and has the original publishers pricing sticker present. There are some very slight surface scratches present throughout with mild crumpling to the top and tail of the spine. The boards are tight and free from chips and marks. The text blocks are bright and white throughout. This copy is free from inscriptions and is, overall, very near fine. The Candid Autobiography of a Senior Intelligence Officer is a memoir written by Peter Wright, former MI5 officer and Assistant Director, and co-author Paul Greengrass. He drew on his own experiences and research into the history of the British intelligence community.

Synopsis

Spycatcher: The Candid Autobiography of a Senior Intelligence Officer (also Spycatcher), is a book written by Peter Wright, former MI5 secret service officer and Assistant Director, and co-author Paul Greengrass. It was published first in Australia. Its allegations proved scandalous on publication, but more so because the British Government attempted to ban it, ensuring its profit and notoriety.
