Waco, TX: Word Books, Publisher, 1974. Hardcover. 8vo. Blue cloth with silver spine lettering, pictorial dust jacket. 304pp. Illustrations. Fine/very good. Faint jacket wear only. Wonderfully tight and bright first edition of this "as told to" memoir, with front flyleaf bearing fine heavy stock 5" X 3" card signed large and bold by Staubach in black marker. Staubach (born 1942), often considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, played with the Dallas Cowboys from 1969 to 1969, and among the jaw-dropping number of awards he won are election to both the College Football Fall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Laid in is the perfect bookmark: Staubach's original transmittal envelope, postally cancelled from Dallas on 14 October 1985.
