London, UK: Chatto & Windus, 1896. Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 354pp, 32pp of publisher's ads, a black and white illustration. Dark green cloth-covered boards, embossed decorations, gilt titles on front and spine, fore and bottom text block edges untrimmed. 8vo. Light wear to boards, shelf number stickers on spine; spine ends and corners rounded, cloth wearing through. Heavy tanning and foxing on text block edges. Gutters strained and cracked, volume loose. Lending library markings on front endpapers, title page and verso and occasional stamps throughout volume. Foxing towards very beginning and end of volume, pages starting to age.
