Arranged in alphabetical order, Aa (Peter Vander AA) to Zypaeus, and abridged from a much larger work, thus a First Edition Thus. A perfectly serviceable reference copy; nothing fancy, but complete and sturdy. A beautifully rebacked exemplar, marbled leather over boards, gilt dentelles along edges, creamy calf leather over spine, with five raised bands to spine, gilt-stamped title over burgundy leather label. Moderately foxed and soiled endpapers, previous owner's fine bookplate inside front flap, else mild, uniform light toning throughout, still fairly bright and attractive, easy to read in double columns.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
