Chatto and Windus, 1897. Hardcover. Good. 1897. No edition remarks. 656 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards with gilt. Gilt edges to textblock. Black and white illustration plates. Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Binding slightly loose. A previous owner's name to front free endpaper. Boards have heavy shelf wear with bumping and fraying to corners and crushing, fraying and tearing to spine ends and edges. Gilt lettering to spine is dulled but remains brighter on front. Some heavy marks and staining to surfaces. Boards are slightly bowed.
