About the author

Stewart Bell is a Senior Reporter at the "National Post" (Toronto) and has been writing about terrorism and extremism since the late 1980s. He has traveled throughout the Middle East, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Southeast Asia to follow his leads. He is the recipient of several journalism awards, including the Amnesty International Human Rights Media Award, the Radio Television News Directors Association Award, and the Media Human Rights Award bestowed by B'Nai B'Rith Canada. He is also the author of "The Martyr's Oath: The Apprenticeship of a Homegrown Terrorist."
