NY: Macmillan., 1933 Spine ends are heavily bumped. Tips and spine ends are heavily rubbed. Top edge of rear board has a small bump. Edges have light dust staining. Former owner name on first blank page. Dust Jacket is chipped and is missing many pieces along the edges. Inside jacket has many pieces of scotch tape holding some of the tears together. Spine ends are missing large pieces including most of the publishers name. Three corners of the jacket have been clipped not including the price. . First Edition. Hard Cover. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. There are a couple of spots of discoloration and some toning to the edges of the book covers, along with some light fading to the spine. The text pages are mostly clean and bright, with a few fingermarks to occasional pages. There is a previous owner's bookplate adhered to the reverse of the front endpaper. Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Boards have heavy shelf wear with bumping and fraying to corners and crushing, tearing and fraying to spine ends. All surfaces heavily tanned and sunned, particularly spine. Some additional marks and staining to surfaces.
