Monaural In January, 1954, Ruth Draper appeared at the Vanderbilt Theater in what she announced was her Farewell New York Engagement. The "dramas" contained on this record were recorded during that appearance. Ruth Draper was one of the great artists of this century, born 1884 in New York City, she spent fifty years of her life touring all over the world presenting her original portrait dramas to great critical praise and the adulation of audiences in all parts of the world, and was known as the queen of the one woman drama. This is one of the rare recordings of her in performance. A Very Good Plus Vinyl Record in Near Fine Record Sleeve, which features liner notes on rear by critic Brooks Atkinson.
