Simon and Schuster, New York, 1938. Hardcover First Edition. 8vo., 139 pages. Black lettering and borders on yellow boards. Top third of spine is missing. Otherwise covers are good to very good, and text and interior are very good throughout. Small owner's plate on front pastedown. Hitler and the Nazis are sternly taken to task by the author, including the use of the terms 'prig' and 'mucker'. Van Loon starts with Mussolini and works his way to Hitler, making an extended comparison of Hitler and the French Revolution's nefarious Robespierre.
