Stern” Malloy was best known for his role as the broker who, in the late 1970s, helped Pan Am sell its Midtown high-rise to Metropolitan Life for $405 million, a record-setting price at the time. He was also a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. Folio. 166, [2] pp. Bound in full yellow cloth, stamped in terra cotta on cover and spine, blind stamp decoration on rear cover. Text in Spanish. Includes chronology and bibliography. Born Paul Higgins Stevenson in Salt Lake City Utah in 1904, O'Higgins immigrated to Mexico in 1924 where he studied under Diego Rivera for several years. In 1937, he and fellow artists Leopoldo Méndez and Luis Arenal founded the artist's print collective Taller de Gráfica Popular. Very Good, internally clean, rear hinge shaken and worn, bumping to extremities, in Very Good dust jacket with 1" tear to head of spine, wear and chipping to spine and extremities, some fading.

Bound in black boards stamped in silver on cover and spine, in illustrated dust jacket. Preface by Luis Cardoza y Aragón, Essays by Raquel Tibol and Gabriel Fernández Ledesma. Ledesma began preparing this work in 1971, but it was not published until 1986- three years after his death. The illustrations depict performers in the three-day festival that precedes Ash Wednesday. Very Good+, 1/2" patch of surface damage to front free endpaper (white mark on dark pink paper), otherwise internally clean and sound, bumping and rubbing to extremities of binding, in Very Good dust jacket, short tears to head and tail of spine, wear to extremities, overall rubbing and dulling.

A lovely copy of a beautifully presented work.

Very Good, interior is heavily foxed and age-toned, binding is rubbed especially at extremities, some sunning to spine, minor fraying to head and tail of spine. Solid copy in a striking binding.
