London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1927. First Edition. hardcover. Light foxing & tanning to pages, bump to upper front corner; else VG+ in a good Dust Jacket with substantial chips to edges of front panel. Jacket spine has light wear to extremities (7/6 price on lower spine). Rear panel has a few tiny chips and short tears. A 3/4 inch wide section of the front flap was at one time removed (we surmise as a bookmark) and has been archivally re-attached. The third collection of Max Carrados stories and the rarest, especially in dust jacket

Philadelphia: Lippincott, 1915. First Edition. hardcover. Short rubbed area to top of rear cover, else a fine copy in a very good dust jacket missing several shallow chips and one slightly larger chip at head of spine which partially affects "The" and "Banner" in the title. First American edition. A rare first edition, as are all the Lippincott printings of Sabatini's novels, especially in dust jacket
