Very good, no dust jacket. 3 / 4 burgundy leather over burgundy cloth, gilt lettering and raised bands on the spine. Marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, each volume has 6 plates with captioned tissue guards including colored frontispieces. Some discoloration to the cloth, the the leather spine is lightly rubbed and faded, also a few notes and occasional marginalia in pencil. Publisher series: Beaux and Belles of England. (Biography).
