1764 Geometry Le Clerc Mathematics & Architecture CLASSIC Illustrated Landscapes

"one of the earliest geometry treatises to combine mathematics and illustrated landscapes!"

A rare treatise on geometry that had a lasting influence on mathematicians and architects. Sebastien le Clerc wrote this book with the intents of it being used by workers, not necessarily students. The figures of geometry include scenery, rural views, castles, buildings, geometric instruments, and problems. This treatise is one of the earliest essays that combines geometry, architectural, and landscaping.

According to Hoffer, this work is
"one of the most attractive mathematical works ever published".

1774 Lalande Astronomy Navigation Mathematics Moon Telescope Newton Illustrated

Jerome Lalande was an 18th-century French astronomer who is best remembered for his contributions to the legibility of astronomical tables. From these tables, Lalande composed a collection of astronomy textbooks, textbooks which would become standard literature on practical astronomical study.

This 1774 edition of 'Astronomie' features 16 impressive, folding engravings. These illustrations depict star charts, armillary spheres, navigational tools and compasses, planetary motion, phases of the moon, and much more.
