A 1" tear at tail of dust wrapper spine. A 1/2" tear along rear flap fold of dust wrapper. Several 3/8" chips to ends of dust wrapper spine and to the corners of the dust wrapper. Dust wrapper protected in archival mylar cover. ; 192 pages. Red boards with gilt lettering on spine. Page dimensions: 196 x 130mm. This New Zealand edition is the true first edition of this title. The author's fifth book. "Erlene is in the next room. She sits, like a blind person, in the dark." - the opening sentence. ; 8vo .
