About This Item
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1946.. FIRST EDITION. This copy from the library of author (of The History of Rome Hanks) Joseph Stanley Pennell with his bookplate on front pastedown and his owner signature on half title page. Contains 52 full-page photographs with accompanying text by Morris. Near fine book in a near fine dust jacket (withonly the slightest wear to spine of edges) . This large book seems inevitably to turn up in less than fine condition. This is very much a superior copy.
