Sydney: Angus & Robertson Limited, 1968. Jubilee Edition of 2000 Copies. Hardcover. Very good/very good. SIGNED. 171pp. Small quarto [25.5 cm] Orange cloth over boards with gilt stamping on the backstrip. Publisher's decorative endpapers. The boards are a bit warped. In a dust jacket with light rubbing and a couple of short closed tears to the edges. Illustrated by the author. An attractive copy of Norman Lindsay's best known children's book. It was partly written to settle an argument with his friend Bertram Stevens of The Bulletin and Art in Australia, who believed that children liked to read about fairies, whereas Lindsay maintained that they liked to read about food.

Signed by Norman Lindsay on the front free endpaper.
