Slightly smaller book, blue cloth, gilt facsimile signature and gilt snowflake illustrated and bright on front, gilt lettering and line design with brown background very fine on spine, light blue background to map of North America inside front cover and adjacent end paper showing Teale's route during winter, inside back cover and adjacent end paper showing route for four seasons, 370 lightly browned pages plus ads for nature books. DJ has beautiful color-illustration of birches and pines amid snowdrifts on front and spine, b/w photo of Teale on back. DJ has slight surface wear to top tips, very tiny tear at top front edge, microtears with crease along spien top edge, microtear at spine bottom right edge, small near-chip at top back spine indentation, microtear and tear micronicks along top back edge, very small chip and two tears with crease between along most of bottom back edge, 4.5" tear up back bookfold edge from bottom tip. Poor DJ/Very Good.
