The Statue of Liberty Encyclopedia Hardcover - 2005

by Barry Moreno

From the publisher

The Statue of Liberty needs no introduction as it is the leading icon of democracy for decades. It is one of the most widely visited tourist places in the world and more than four million people visit it every year. Closed after 911 for security concerns, the Statue is now open again for tourists. The Statue of Liberty Encyclopedia is not just the history of one monument but the story of our nation and its far reaching cultural and ideological roots. Elegant and eloquent, the book will stand as an emotional, educational and entertaining testament to the statue's enduring significance.
