About This Item

Los Angeles: Pendulum Combos, 1970. Perfect bound magazine. Light shelfwear; pen mark to cover, and a little fragile: binding glue drying out. Very good.. Unpaginated [approx. 204 pp., plus covers], semi-glossy erotic magazine featuring explicit black and white, duotone and color photographs. Great vintage erotica from the sexual revolution, with wild and free-spirited women (including a black model, a girl with a gun, etc), stylin' design and some surreal touches. The prolific Ed Wood Jr. was writing for Pendulum at this time; we have only listed his name when a well-documented Wood pseudonym is employed. A collection of Pendulum magazines. Pictorials include solo poses, scenes with men (erect penises) etc., in: Her Sign Is the High Sign. The Winner (wild Afro hairdo). She's Had It (pigtailed blonde plays with stuffed animals, does a hand-stand). Television Watcher (black model). She Likes Warm-Ups (brunette with bongos). A Girl Who Digs Fruits (brunette posing & playing with sweet things: a bowl fo fruit and a guy with a boyfriend!). Blonde with a Busted Box (she calls a reparman). He's Her Ding-Ding Daddy. Stunt Girl (she likes thrills and danger). She Likes to Point It (girl with a gun; smoking a cigarette, posing in leather boots and playing with a Luger). Bare On Bear (cute brunette rubs on large teddy bear). And many more! Fiction and articles: The Double Standard and Other Old Relics, by Scott Harford. Koles to Newcastle, by Chicken Marengo. Visit to a Small Whorehouse (article). How I Lost My Head, fiction by Quentin Stallknecht. The Appeal of Oral Love, by Quentin Worthington. First third or so is the same as a collection of the same title (inventory #66675), but otherwise contents differ.
