Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Slipcase has light edge-wear with minor marking to panels. Small split to one edge.

Interesting for containing his first meeting with Samuel Johnson and for the recorded conversations, which were sometime salacious, not least when he confronts his mistress over his catching a venereal disease. With colour images. Complete with slipcase. With an introduction by Frederick Pottle. One tiny dot mark to fore-edge, else pristine. Fine condition.
