A good, sturdy hard cover first edition over all but with general shelf wear and rubbing at the corners, back strip cloth frayed at top and bottom edges; interior very good, hinges and binding tight, paper lightly yellowed with light foxing primarily to the endpapers and fore-edges. Without dust jacket.

Remains of paper stuck to both paste downs still present.Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding is shaky. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Moderate tanning to spine. Minor fraying to cloth at spine ends.
