The first part of the book is devoted to the ceremony that took place in the House on September 25, 1974, with a number of photographs of the participants. The largest part of the book is "The First Continental Congress: A Documentary History," edited by Jack P. Greene, including transcripts of debates and speeches in the original Continental Congress, and short biographical sketches of all the participants.
