About This Item

Boston: Little, Brown & Co., 1985. First American edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. 352 pages with index, illustrated with beautiful color plates and black and white photographs and drawings. Companion to the PBS television series, the book lays out Burke's fascinating theory that reality changes as man's view of reality changes with knowledge. Blue boards with silver titles on spine. Very light spotting and minor edge wear, light bumping of corners and spine ends, interior pages bright and clean, binding tight. May never have been read. Illustrated jacket with white and yellow titles on front cover and spine shows some edge wear with small chips, a little scuffing and minor spotting, tiny tear at bottom of front of jacket, darkening along edges of back inner fold.

About Scraps of American History

Unique bookstore in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We specialize in vintage and antiquarian volumes with an emphasis on history, but carry books on many subjects. Currently we are building a catalogue from a large collection. We have been members of Biblio.com since around 2001 under the name Greenberry House. Our descriptions are detailed and careful and we try to note every flaw. ALL of our books are photographed and show you the exact item you will receive. We ship within one business day of receipt of orders and generally do not add shipping charges to the amount on your original invoice.
