Some light rubbing to extremities, covers and label toned, front hinge just starting, leaves a bit foxed. Sound, square and attractive otherwise. First Printing of the Lynd's proleptic graphic novel, a Faustian tale of an artist facing the trials of fame and love in the modern city.

This wordless novel beautifully retells the timeless Faustian tragedy, as a struggling artist sells his soul to "the man at the crossroads" in order to become successful. The tale is told in a masterful sequence of 144 stark and haunting woodblock prints.
