Hancock County, Illinois: Board of Supervisors of Hancock County, Illinois, 1968. Very handsome and hefty book which contained at back many newspaper articles and eohemera items from the area and a ribbon banner from same, all of which I have sequestered in a plastic bag to accompany the book. Fortunately, there is no foxing or toning to back endpapers because of it.. Book covers the county's history from 1818 to 1968 replete with black and white photographs printed on coated paper. Book is quite large at 9"x11-1/2" and has 670 pages. Only faults are a few spots of fading to the green cloth, tiny creases to front two corners and a 1968 Chrismas inscription at front free endpaper with no name. Overall very good. NO index booklet.. Sesquicentennial Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No DJ, as Issued. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
