Eugene: Star Job Office, 1897., 1897. First edition. First separate printing. Self-wrappers, 28 pp. The second publication in "Sources of the History of Oregon. Volume 1. Part 2." Contributions of the Department of Economics and History of the University of Oregon. Reprints in full the exceedingly rare first printing of 25 copies in 1855. The struggle between the Indians of the Pacific Northwest and the white traders, settlers, or military lasted from 1847 to 1873. "This journal is contemporaneous with the events it records, being an exact reprint of a small edition issued in 1855. It is thus to be classed as a primary source." An important record. Near fine. Quite scarce.
