New York: MacMillan. NF/F. 1967. 1st Edition. Hardcover; 1st Printing. 1st edition/1st printing with First Printing stated on the copyright page. Lovely example of this author's scarce 1st book, NOT ex-library or remaindered. SIGNED by the author on a laid-in glossy finish heavy stock half-sheet with Sue Grafton boldly signed on the bottom half, and a recent photograph of Ms. Grafton on the upper half. The book is straight, clean, tight, and has unblemished upper page edge stain. The book is graded near fine plus instead of fine only because there are a couple of small indentations on the back panel - there's no color loss or wear to the fabric of the binding. It is just as if an object with small feet rested on the back panel and caused those very slight indentations. The fine price intact dustjacket is clean, crisp, unfaded and has no tears or chips. Precedes the Kinsey Millhone alphabet series by 15 years. Many readers think this her best book.; Signed by Author .

Description:
MacMillan Company. Very Good in Very Good+ dust jacket. 1967. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. Red cloth. States "First Printing". Signed on the title page, without inscription, by Grafton. To the front and rear pastedowns it is stamped, "Property of Display Dept." . Some rubbing along the upper page edge. There are three places in the book where there is what appears to be ink spray to one page and also to the page opposite. It is light in color and I did not notice it at first. I am quite certain this is a printers error. This is likely the reason it was removed to the Display Dept. It is otherwise quite a nice copy. Without any other names or bookplates. The dust jacket is nearly fine and has only very minor wear. Price of $4.95 to the front flap. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 220 pages .
