The grey cloth covers are in excellent condition with bumping on spine head. Foxing on bottom of last page and bottom of rear endpaper. Crease on ffep. Three small to tiny margin stains on last page and rear fep. The non-textured dust jacket is worn on the edges with many tears (open and closed), with several at .5"-.75". Edge chipping, a small coating rub circle, and flap fold top and bottom wear with chipping. Some vertical flap fold light wear. Scattered spine foxing and wear with spine ends' tears. A worn dust jacket with panels in better condition. Summary: Mike Mulligan has a steam shovel, Mary Anne, which he claims can dig more in a day than one hundred men can in a week. Mike and Mary Anne are tested when they are hired to dig the basement for the new town hall of Popperville. But, can she dig her way out of a sticky situation?
