george routledge and sons 1841 original red boards are both tarnishedand a touch grubby. all corners rounded with some wear-through/loss.spine is sunned and both endsrounded. textblock is cocked. all pages are present and tightly bound in, though the front hinge is weakened and showing webbing to part. ffep has what looks like a large pencil address which would rub off. same ffep has large "nibbes" missing from right-hand edge. small bookseller plate to reverse of front board. some isolated foxing to pre-title page. attractive copy despite the above, which is consistent with its 150 year plus age!
