Bion (ca. 1652-1733) was a Paris-based cosmographer and maker of mathematical and astronomical instruments, holding the title of "king's engineer for mathematical instruments" under Louis XIV (DSB II, pp. 132-1330). Inside there is some browning and an imperfection on the title page - see pictures, but otherwise the text is clean and unmarked. Not an ex-library copy and without any prior owner inscriptions.
