Fair overall. Edwin Gilbert Schary (1893- ) was an adventurous American who made three journeys into Tibet between 1912 and 1924. He was possibly the first American to enter Tibet. Two impeccable sources, Canon Tyndale-Biscoe and the British Agent in Tibet, David Macdonald, testify in the Forewords to his character and the truth of his narrative.
