Doubleday Doran, New York, 1943. First Edition (shown). Hardcover. Fine/VG. 8 x 6 x 3/4. NON SMOKING STORE. MY LISTING INCLUDES PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK FOR SALE. Book NEAR FINE/ Dust Jacket Very Good. Boards and spine are blue cloth, lettering gilt, image of air plane in flight embossed on front. Dust jacket is white/brown, lettering orange/white, colour pictorial and photo front. Dust jacket is NOT PRICE CLIPPED, has a bit of age darkening on folds of flaps, minor chipping in places on edges, a few rips here and there largest is 1 inch, but no paper missing. Book itself has covers and spine flat, clean, no rips, small bends at corner tips, no spine creases, a small 1/4 inch x 1/16 inch dent at side of front board but cloth not broken, a few small creases on spine ends, two small dots of white on lower corner tip edges. Rag edge pages. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, flat. Very gently read. Black/white photo plates. Introduction by W. L. White. Book Club Edition.

My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
