Description:
John Adams Thayer Corporation , 1913. First edition. Paperback. Very Good minus. This issue lacks the back cover. A single complete original issue with front cover and ads. Quarto, 9 3/4" tall, illustrated wraps, approx. 160 pages + ads. An otherwise very good, clean, sturdy issue of this key literary magazine of its age, with minor shelf wear, rubbing and chipping at the spine corners. BUT, the primary defect is that the back cover is missing--covers were issued oversized to the interior stock and thus the edges appear roughed, but this is true of all copies for the same reason; interior binding tight, paper lightly yellowed.

New York: John Adams Thayer Corporation, 1913. First printing. Vintage paperback. Good/No jacket. 160 pages plus advertising section, illustrated with black and white ads. A witty magazine with stories from fine authors including George Moore, George Bronson-Howard, George Jean Natha, H. L. Mencken, Rex T. Stout and many more. Gray illustrated wraps with black and red titles on front cover and spine, two color Norwalk Six car advertisement on back cover. Some wear to cover with creases and chips along edges, darkening at top and sides of front cover, corners and spine ends bumped and chipped, spine cocked, wrinkle in spine, some soiling of cover, interior pages a little tanned but clean, binding tight, may smell a bit musty.
