Full title is Studien und Plaudereien in Vaterland, Second Series, by Sigmon M. Stern, director of Stern's School of Languages, New York, and Menco Stern. Eighth Edition, revised. Published by Henry Holt and Company, New York, copyright 1881. 380 pages including tables of grammar. Burgundy cloth binding faded to brown with gilt titles on spine, gray end papers. Some edge wear to cover, corners and spine ends bumped, gilt a little faded, some spotting and scuffing of cover, interior pages a little tanned with a few pencil notations, two pages stained because of inserted material, former owner's name "Minnie Cox" on front free end paper, binding tight.
