Text block well bound, no marks found, but with prev. owner insc. from 1905 to front endpaper, hinges starting, splitting but still holding well on the underlying mesh. Minor general rubbing to cover edges and corners..

Cover is rubbed and lightly soiled. Early owner's inscriptions on front free endpaper and on last page. Edges of a few pages are lightly chipped, not affecting the text. There is a musty smell inside as well. Binding is tight. A Victorian romance novel from the publisher's TWENTIETH CENTURY SERIES. Illustrated with black and white plates by Louise L. Heustis.
