Very nice dust jacket is lightly chipped at cornres and spine ends. A few short tears, light soil. Very nice in protective mylar. A study on the influence of aircraft in the opening battles of the First World War. Illustrated. Nice tight binding.

Clean blue cloth with red/orange letters. Sound binding. No markings inside or out. Page edges are uniformly tanned. Original, unclipped ($2.50) DJ, with a few open tears (see pics), in protective mylar. Lots of great information and illustrations. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.

This much-respected work traces the history of German military aviation from the Franco-Prussian War to the close of the First World War. Numerous textual drawings by the author. Two volumes, octavo. The first volume is bound in full blue cloth with red stamping, while the second is bound in full black cloth with gilt titles. Small ink notation to the front flyleaf in the second volume. A few negligible tape shadows from an old dust jacket protector to the endpapers and flaps of the dust jackets. Some light fading and very mild edgewear to the dust jackets, which are price-clipped; otherwise an especially nice set.
