The title page says this is The New World Edition of the Works of Rudyard Kipling and is also The "Authorized Edition published exclusively for Funk & Wagnalls Company. Front hinge is cracked at title page only. Interior pages clean, unmarked; slightly larger print. Binding is tight..

Macmillan & Co., 1924. The book is bound in limp leather with a gilt device and gilt page tops and a torn dustjacket. The binding has some light rubbing to the extremities, it is sound with everything well bound in. There is a touch of light foxing to the endpapers, the re st of the text is clean and crisp throughout.

Complete in two volumes this is a scarce early set reprinted in the same year as the first edition, both in clean tight bright condition, both vols have writing on the front paste down and front endpapers. The first volume of a series of letters of travel from English novelist Rudyard Kipling. This volume consists of travel reports by Kipling for his newspapers between 1887 and 1899. Rudyard Kipling was an English short story writer, novelist and poet who was born in British India which inspired much of this work. In prize binding for Chigwell School, bound by Sangorski. In quarter calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, very smart indeed with some light rubbing to the head of the spine. Prize inscription to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with some light spotting to the first few pages. Very Good Indeed
