119 pp. Some text, plus dozens of full-color illustrations depicting the art of the French Salon Artists of the 19th century, inc. landscapes, portraits, still lifes, pastoral scenes. The term "Salon Artist" refers to an artist displayed in the state-sponsored exhibition of contemporary art held in Paris each year. Artists include Delacroix, Manet, Ingres, Corot, Degas and many others.  Book probably exposed to water at some point, considering waviness of pages and some light staining, but the illustrations are not affected at all and the colors remain sharp, clear and true (as good as one would expect of a Harry Abrams book).  Pages clean and clear, spine straight, sturdy, uncreased; corners bumped, pictorial covers scuffed, first few pages have indentations, minor edgewear. All books packed in padded mailers or cartons, and shipping charges are reduced for multiple purchases.
