Description:
Grayson County, Texas is in North Central Texas on the Red River. Preston Bend was a low water crossing point into Indian Territory back in the day. There were Indian raids which made the area perilous. During the Civil War cotton was exported from there to Galveston to get around Union blockades. It is an interesting area. There is a lot of written history as well as archival photographs. The book has foxing on the first 3 and last 3 pages. Beyond that the pages are clean and bright and unmarked. There is an extensive index.
