London: Juvenile Productions Softcover; small square 4to; unpaginated. Rare. No date [1930s, 1940s?]. A unique cultural item, part of the Americas' and the U.K.'s history of racism. A picture and rhyme book derivative of the folk song "Ten Little Indians", purportedly adapted by Frank J. Green. This book's rhyme became popular in minstrel shows for decades. This text was the inspiration for Agatha Christie's novel of the same name, later retitled "Then There Were None". Stapled booklet in colour card covers. One staple rusting. Booklet in colour, some 20 pages overall. Ten in full colour, ten in b&w and orange. Lightly soiled and yellowed, else in nice condition. VG. Softcover. Very Good.
