Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with creased corners and foxing. Corners are dogeared in places.Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn with slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are a mildly crushed, with small splits and chips. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

This is the first printing of this excellent third and final instalment of what has become affectionately known as 'THE GORSE TRILOGY' by Patrick Hamilton's legion of avid and loyal fans. Previous owners name and date to front pastedown remains discreet, otherwise all pages are present and correct and in excellent condition. The pages are a little tanned with age as is usual with this book due to the quality of the paper used in production and the books age, however there is virtually no foxing. Book sits solid and square with all corners sharp. Light, minor marking to the boards, otherwise a very nice copy which remains in Very Good condition.
